INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO PRESIDENT OF MATTAMPALLI MANDAL PRAJA PARISHAD IN
SURYAPET DISTRICT.
Lr.No.24/TSEC-PR/2018-9.- In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution of India and Sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act No. 5 of 2018) and Rule 13 of Telangana Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad and Co-opted Members, Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 27, PR & RD (PTS.III) Dept., Dated: 19-05-2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Suryapet District to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy of President of Mattampalli Mandal Praja Parishad in Suryapet District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the said office in the Annexure appended to this Notification.
NOTE : In the event of a vacancy in the Office of an elected member of Mandal praja parishad occurs
for any reason after the issue of President, Mandal praja Parishad casual election notification
by the State Election Commission, the election to the office of President shall not stalled and
shall be conducted as per the schedule.

1. Notice to be given in Form-V by the Gazetted Officer authorised by the District Collector, Suryapet calling for a special meeting for election to the casual vacancy in the office of President of Mattampalli Mandal Praja Parishad in Suryapet District.
On or before 03-01-2019 (This notice should be given to the members specified in clauses (i) to (vi) of sub-section (1) of Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 atleast three clear days in advance of the date of the meeting fixed for the said election)
2. Date and Time of the meeting for the election of President of Mattampalli
Mandal Praja Parishad in Suryapet District.
At: 11.00 AM on 07-01-2019 Hyderabad, 27-12-2018.
V. NAGI REDDY, State Election Commissioner. Note:- If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 07-01-2019, it shall be held at 11.00 AM on the next day i.e, on 08-01-2019 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Mandal Praja Parishad concerned.
