ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION REGARDING GENERAL ELECTIONS TO HOUSE OF PEOPLE (LOK SABHA), 2019.

The following Notification of the Election Commission of India, Nirvachan Sadan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi-110 001, Dated 8th April, 2019, 18 Chaitra, 1941 (Saka) is re-published:-

NOTIFICATION

No. 464/EPS/2019:– Whereas, the Election Commission of India by its Notification No. 464/EPS/2019(1) dated 18th March, 2019 issued under Section 30 read with Section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) has fixed 'hours of Poll' in respect of 53-Rampachodavaram Assembly Segment of 1-Araku(ST) Parliamentary Constitutency (Andhra Pradesh) from 7.00 AM to 5.00 PM, 164-Tarapur Assembly Segment of 40- Jamu(SC) Parliamentary Constituency (Bihar) from 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM and 4-Nizamabad Parliamentary Constituency (Telangana) from 7.00 AM to 5.00 PM respectively, and

Whereas, after considering the report of Chief Electoral Officers, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Telangana and taking into account all material circumstances including the Law and Order situation/mock poll, the Election Commission of India has decided to change the hours of poll in the aforesaid Assembly Segment 1-Araku(ST) PC, 40-Jamu(SC) PC and 4-Nizamabad PC in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Telangana respectively.

Now, therefore the Election Commission of India hereby makes the following amendments in its Notification No. 464/EPS/2019(1) dated 18th March, 2019 referred to above namely:-

In the Table below the Schedule to the said Notification, for existing entry in column (4), against 53- Ramapachodavaram Assembly Segment of 1-Araku(ST) Parliamentary Constituency (Andhra Pradesh), 164-Tarapur Assembly Segment of 40-Jamu(SC) Parliamentary Constituency (Bihar) and 4-Nizamabad PC, the following entries shall be substituted namely:-
