AMENDMENTS TO THE TELANGANAPANCHAYAT RAJ (AUTHORITY AND MANNER TO DISPOSE ELECTION PETITIONS IN RESPECT OF GRAM PANCHAYATS, MANDAL PRAJA PARISHADS AND ZILLA PRAJA PARISHADS) RULES, 2018.

AMENDMENTS
In the said rules:-
1. In rule 2, in sub-rule (2), in clause (i) for the word "following"
the word "falling" shall be substituted.
2. In rule 2, in sub-rule (2), in clause (i), in sub clause (a) for the words "if there is more than" the words "if there are more than" shall be substituted.
3. In rule 2, in sub-rule (2), in clause (i), in sub clause (b) the said Rules after the words Senior Civil Judge at the Head Quarters the following words shall be inserted, namely
"the Principal Senior Civil Judge"
4. In rule 2, in sub-rule (2), in clause (i), in sub-clause (b) for the words "if there is more than" the words "if there are more than" shall be substituted.
5. For the explanation under rule 6, the following explanation shall be
substituted, namely
Explanation :- For the purpose of the Rules the expression "Election
Authority" shall mean,
(i) in respect of the election of the Upa-Sarpanch, the Returning Officer appointed for conducting ordinary elections to the office of Sarpanch and Ward Members of the Gram Panchayat who presides over the meeting convened for the election of Upa-Sarpanch;
