HEALTH MEDICAL AND FAMILY WELFARE DEPARTMENT - RULE OF RESERVATION - RESERVATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN DIRECT RECRUITMENT - EXEMPTION.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section-34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Act, 2016, the Government in consultation with State Commissioner hereby exempt the following categories of posts from providing reservation in direct recruitment to certain categories of disabilities interchanging with other categories under rule-22(2) of Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, with immediate effect:
(I) The Post of Assistant professors, Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist), Civil Assistant Surgeon, General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO), Tutor, Staff Nurse and MPHA (F)/ANM are exempted from reservation in direct recruitment of persons with the following benchmark disabilities:
i. Blindness & Low Vision.
ii. Deaf and hard of hearing.
iii. Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness;
iv. Multiple disabilities.
The above categories of disabilities shall be interchange by providing 4% reservation to the said posts for persons with Locomotor Disability.
(II) The posts of pharmacist Grade-II, Lab Technician Grade-II, Radiographer and Junior Analyst are exempted from reservation in direct recruitment of persons with the following benchmark disabilities:
i. Blindness & Low Vision.
ii. Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness;
iii. Multiple disabilities.
2 TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-I The above categories of disabilities shall be interchanged by providing 4% reservation to the said posts for persons with the following disabilities:i. Deaf and hard hearing (2% reservation at Roster Point 31 & 82).
ii. Locomotor disability (2% reservation at Roster Point No. 6 & 56).
