INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO THE POST OF UPA-SARPANCH OF DAMARCHERLA GRAM PANCHAYAT OF DAMARCHERLA MANDAL IN NALGONDA DISTRICT AND PEDDAPUR GRAM PANCHAYAT OF ATMAKUR MANDAL IN HANUMAKONDA DISTRICT.
No. 21/ TSEC-PR/2022-5:- In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 196 and 197 and Sub- section (9) of Section 15 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 and read with second and third provisos of Rule 3 (1) and 7 of Telangana Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Elections to Upa-Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat) Rules, 2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana hereby, directs the District Panchayat Officer, Nalgonda and Hanumakonda Districts to authorize a person who shall be not below the rank of Revenue Inspector to conduct election to the casual vacancies in the office of Upa-Sarpanch of (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat, Damarcherla Mandal in Nalgonda district and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal in Hanumakonda District, in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the casual election to the said office in Annexure appended to this Notification.
NOTE : If any casual vacancy in the office of member of (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat, Damarcherla Mandal in Nalgonda District and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal in Hanumakonda District is occurred before issue of this Notification, Upa-Sarpanch election in (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat, (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, should not be conducted and report the matter immediately to the State Election Commission for further orders. NOTE : If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 11-07-2022, it shall be held at 11.00 AM on the next day i.e, on 12-07-2022 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat, Damarcherla Mandal in Nalgonda District and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal in Hanumakonda District.
