CONSTITUTION OF "DISTRICT MEDICAL BOARD".
[G .O.Ms.No.135, Health, Medical and Family Welfare (H), 1st October, 2022.]
In exercise of the powers conferred under by clause (a) of subsection (iii) of Surrogacy ( Regulation) Act, 2021, Government of Telangana hereby constitute a "District Medical Board" with the following composition for each of the Districts in the State of Telangana for the purpose of said Act with immediate effect.
District Medical Board for Surrogacy:

| 2. | Gynecologist to be nominated by Collector | Specialist member |
| 3. | Paediatrician to be nominated by Collector | Specialist member |
Functions of District Medical Board for Surrogacy :
a. District Medical Board shall issue a certificate of a medical indication in favour of either or both members of the intending couple or intending women necessitating gestational surrogacy.
b. Such other powers as may be prescribed by the State Board/State Appropriate Authority under the provision of the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021.
2 TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-I Terms and conditions :a. The District Medical Board shall meet at least once in a month.
b. Even though the intervening period of each meeting shall be one month, depending upon the situation, necessity and during emergency; special meeting shall be convened by the authority.
Chairperson, State Appropriate Authority, ART & Surrogacy, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, Hyderabad, Collectors & District Magistrates and District Medical & Health Officers shall take action accordingly.
