BIENNIAL ELECTION TO TELANGANA STATE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL FROM HYDERABAD LOCAL AUTHORITIES CONSTITUENCY, 2023.

The following Notification of the Election Commission of India, Nirvachan Sadan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi-110001, Dated 16th February, 2023, Magha 27, 1944 (Saka) is published:-
NOTIFICATION
No. 322/TL-LC-LAC/2023 :– WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Telangana has, by notification issued under section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 or 1951) and published in the official Gazette of the State on 16th February, 2023 been pleased to call upon Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency, to elect one member to the Legislative Council of the State of Telangana :—
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of section 30 and section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 or 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby :– 2 TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part - V (A) Appoints, with respect to the said Election,- (a) the 23rd February, 2023 (Thursday), as the last date for making nominations ; (b) the 24th February, 2023 (Friday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 27th February, 2023 (Monday), as the last date for the withdrawal of Candidatures ;
(d) the 13th March, 2023 (Monday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken ; and (e) the 21st March, 2023 (Tuesday), as the date before which the Election shall be completed ; and (B) fixes the hours from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the dated specified above for the Election.
