BIENNIAL ELECTIONS TO THE TELANGANA LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL FROM MAHABUBNAGAR – RANGA REDDY – HYDERABAD TEACHERS' CONSTITUENCY - NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 16 OF THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT, 1951 (43 OF 1951) BY THE GOVERNOR OF TELANGANA.

NOTIFICATION
WHEREAS, the seat of one member of the Legislative Council of the State of Telangana, elected from the Mahabubnagar - Ranga Reddy - Hyderabad Teachers' Constituency, is going to fall vacant on 29-03-2023, on the expiration of his term of office; and
WHEREAS, Biennial election has to be held for the purpose of filling the above vacancy so arising;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of Section 16 of the Representation of the people Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby recommends the 16th February, 2023 (Thursday), as the date on which the Governor of the State of Telangana may, by notification published in the official Gazette of the 2 TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part - V State on the said date, be pleased to call upon the said Council Constituency, to elect one member to the Legislative Council of the State, for the purpose of filling the above said vacancy, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder;
