INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO THE POST OF UPA-SARPANCHES CERTAIN GRAM PANCHAYATS.
NOTIFICATION
No.21/TSEC-PR/2022/19.- In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 196 and 197 and Sub- section (9) of Section 15 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 and read with second and third provisos of Rule 3(1) and 7 of Telangana Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Elections to Upa-Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat) Rules, 2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the District Panchayat Officers of Medak and Suryapet Districts to authorize a person who shall be not below the rank of Revenue Inspector to conduct election to the casual vacancies in the office of Upa-Sarpanch of (i) Sankapur Gram Panchayat of Narsingi Mandal in Medak district and (ii) Adluru (K) Gram Panchyat of Kodad Mandal in Suryapet district in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the casual election to the said office in Annexure appended to this Notification.
Note : If any casual vacancy in the office member of (i) Sankapur Gram Panchayat of Narsingi Mandal in Medak district and (ii) Adluru (K) Gram Panchayat of Kodad Mandal in Suryapet district is occurred before issue of this Notification, Upa-Sarpanch election should not be conducted and report the matter immediately to the State Election Commission for further orders. If any such casual vacancy occurs after issue of this notification Upa- Sarpanch election shall not be stalled and election shall be conducted as per schedule.

NOTE:-If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 03.07.2023, it shall be held at 11.00 AM on the next day i.e., 04.07.2023 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the (i) Sankapur Gram Panchayat of Narsingi Mandal in Medak districdt and (ii) Adluru(K) Gram Panchayat of Kodad Mandal in Suryapet district.
