GENERAL ELECTIONS TO THE LEGISLATURE OF MAHARASHTRA STATE ON DT: 20-11-2024 - PROVIDING THE BENEFIT OF PAID HOLIDAY TO THE PERSONS WORKING IN TELANGANA STATE, HAVING VOTES IN MAHARASHTRA - DECLARATION OF PAID HOLIDAY TO SUCH PERSONS UNDER SECTION 3(2) OF THE TELANGANA FACTORIES AND ESTABLISHMENTS (NATIONAL, FESTIVAL AND OTHER HOLIDAYS) ACT, 1974.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 3(2) of the Telangana Factories and Establishments (National, Festival and Other Holidays) Act, 1974 (Act No. 32/1974) read with the provisions laid down in Section 135-B of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951, Government of Telangana hereby declare paid holiday to all the employees / workers working in the Factories and Shops & Establishments as defined u/s 2(d) and 2(e) of the said Act, who are having votes in the neighbouring State of Maharashtra, on the day of polling i.e., dt. 20.11.2024 (Wednesday) so as to enable the electorate to exercise their vote for the General Elections to Legislature of Maharashtra State, if there is no holiday.
The Director of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad & the Director of Factories, Telangana, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action, accourdingly.
