PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION TO THE OFFICE OF VICE - PRESIDENT OF INDIA
WHEREAS a notification under sub - section ( 1) of Section 4 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 , for the holding of an election to fill the Office of Vice- President of India has been issued by the Election Commission , I, P.C. MODY, the Returning Officer for such election, do hereby give notice that- TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE EXTRAORDINARY ISSUE OF THE GAZETTE OF INDIA , PART II , SECTION 3 , SUB - SECTION ( iii) DATED THE 7TH OF AUGUST, 2025
(i) nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any one of his proposers or seconders to the undersigned at his office in Room No. RS - 28 , First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi , or if he is unavoidably absent, to the Assistant Returning Officers , Ms. Garima Jain , Joint Secretary / Shri Vijay Kumar , Director , Rajya Sabha Secretariat at the said office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than a public holiday) not later thanThursday, the 21st August, 2025 ;
(ii) each nomination paper shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the entry relating to the candidate in the electoral roll for the Parliamentary constituency in which the candidate is registered as an elector ;
(iii) every candidate shall deposit or cause to be deposited a sum of Rupees Fifteen Thousand only. This amount may be deposited in cash with the Returning Officer at the time of presentation of the nomination paper or deposited earlier in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury and in the latter case a receipt showing that the said deposit of the sum has been so made is required to be enclosed with the nomination paper ;
(iv) forms of nomination papers may be obtained from the above said office at the time aforesaid;
(v) the nomination papers , other than those rejected under sub - section (4 ) of Section 5B of the Act, will be taken up for scrutiny at the said office in Room No. F - 100 , Sangoshthi - 2, First Floor , Parliament House , New Delhi , on Friday , the 22nd August, 2025 at 11 a.m.;
(vi) the notice of withdrawal of candidatures may be delivered by a candidate , or any one of his proposers or seconders who has been authorised in this behalf in writing by the candidate, to the undersigned at the place specified in paragraph ( i) above before three o'clock in the afternoon of Monday , the 25th August, 2025;
(vii) in the event of the election being contested , the poll will be taken on Tuesday , the 9th September , 2025 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the place of polling fixed under the rules .

2025 ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికల రిటర్నింగ్ అధికారి కార్యాలయం భారత ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి పదవికి ఎన్నికకు బహిరంగ నోటీసు భారత గెజిట్, భాగం II, సెక్షన్ 3 , ఉప- సెక్షన్ (iii) యొక్క అసాధారణ ລ້໖໖, 2025 ఆగస్టు 7 వ తేదీన ప్రచురించవలసినది
భారత ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి పదవిని భర్తీ చేయడానికి ఎన్నిక నిర్వహించడం కోసం, రాష్ట్రపతి మరియు ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికల చట్టం , 1952, సెక్షన్ 4, ఉప- సెక్షన్ (1 ) కింద ఎన్నికల సంఘం ఒక ప్రకటన జారీ చేసినందున, సదరు ఎన్నికకు రిటర్నింగ్ అధికారి అయిన పి.సి. మోడీ అను నేను, దీని ద్వారా ఈ క్రింది విధంగా తెలియజేస్తున్నాను -
(i) నామినేషన్ పత్రాలను ఒక అభ్యర్థి గానీ లేదా అతని ప్రతిపాదకులలో లేదా బలపరిచేవారిలో ఎవరైనా ఒకరు , కింద సంతకం చేసిన వారికి, న్యూ ఢిల్లీలోని పార్లమెంట్ హౌస్ , మొదటి అంతస్తు, రూమ్ నెం. RS -28 లోని ఆయన కార్యాలయంలో గానీ, లేదా ఆయన అనివార్య కారణాల వల్ల హాజరు కాలేకపోతే , సహాయ రిటర్నింగ్ అధికారులైన శ్రీమతి గరిమా జైన్ , జాయింట్ సెక్రటరీ/శ్రీ విజయ్ కుమార్, డైరెక్టర్ , రాజ్యసభ సెక్రటేరియట్ వద్ద సదరు కార్యాలయంలో, 2025 ఆగస్టు 21 , . గురువారం కంటే ముందుగా, ఏదేని రోజున ( ప్రభుత్వ సెలవు దినం మినహా) ఉదయం 11 గంటల నుండి మధ్యాహ్నం 3 గంటల మధ్య అందజేయవచ్చును;
(ii ) ప్రతి నామినేషన్ పత్రంతో పాటు , అభ్యర్థి ఓటరుగా నమోదు చేయబడిన పార్లమెంటరీ నియోజకవర్గం యొక్క ఓటర్ల జాబితాలో అభ్యర్థికి సంబంధించిన నమోదిత ధృవీకృత ప్రతిని జతపరచాలి;
(iii ) ప్రతి అభ్యర్థి పదిహేను వేల రూపాయల TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY

[Part- V మొత్తాన్ని డిపాజిట్ చేయాలి లేదా డిపాజిట్ చేయించాలి . ఈ మొత్తాన్ని నామినేషన్ పత్రం సమర్పించే సమయంలో రిటర్నింగ్ అధికారి వద్ద నగదు రూపంలో డిపాజిట్ చేయవచ్చు లేదా ముందుగా రిజర్వ్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియాలో లేదా ప్రభుత్వ ఖజానాలో డిపాజిట్ చేయవచ్చు మరియు రెండో పద్ధతిలో అయితే, సదరు డిపాజిట్ మొత్తం చెల్లించబడినట్లు చూపే రశీదును నామినేషన్ పత్రంతో జతపరచాలి ;
( iv ) నామినేషన్ పత్రాల ఫారాలను పైన పేర్కొన్న కార్యాలయం నుండి పైన పేర్కొన్న సమయంలో పొందవచ్చు;
(v) చట్టంలోని సెక్షన్ 5బి , ఉప- సెక్షన్ (4) కింద తిరస్కరించబడినవి మినహా, ఇతర నామినేషన్ పత్రాలు 2025 ఆగస్టు 22 , శుక్రవారం ఉదయం 11 గంటలకు, న్యూ ఢిల్లీలోని పార్లమెంట్ హౌస్, మొదటి అంతస్తు, రూమ్ నం. F- 100 , సంగోష్ఠి -2 లోని సదరు కార్యాలయంలో పరిశీలనకు స్వీకరించబడతాయి;
(vi ) అభ్యర్థిత్వాల ఉపసంహరణ నోటీసును అభ్యర్థి గానీ , విషయంలో అభ్యర్థిచే వ్రాతపూర్వకంగా అధికారం పొందిన అతని ప్రతిపాదకులలో లేదా బలపరిచేవారిలో ఎవరైనా ఒకరు గానీ , కింద సంతకం చేసిన వారికి, పైన పేరా (i) లో పేర్కొన్న స్థలంలో, 2025. ఆగస్టు 25 , సోమవారం మధ్యాహ్నం మూడు గంటలలోపు అందజేయవచ్చును; లేదా 5 TELANGANA GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY

(vii ) ఎన్నికలలో పోటీ ఉన్న సందర్భంలో, పోలింగ్ 2025 సెప్టెంబర్ 9 , మంగళవారం నాడు ఉదయం 10 గంటల నుండి సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల మధ్య, నిబంధనల ప్రకారం నిర్ణయించబడిన పోలింగ్ కేంద్రంలో నిర్వహించబడుతుంది .
