ESTABLISHMENT OF 33 DISTRICT DIRECTORATES OF PROSECUTION FOR THIRTY THREE (33) DISTRICTS - THE STATE OF TELANGANA CO-TERMINUS WITH THE THIRTY THREE (33) JUDICIAL DISTRICTS.

In exercise of powers conferred under section 20 (1) (b) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No. 46/2023) Government of Telangana hereby notify for the establishment of District Directorate of Prosecution in all thirty three (33) Districts co-terminus, with thirty three (33) Judicial Districts of Telangana consisting of a Deputy Director of Prosecution and an Assistant Director of Prosecution at District level as mandated under section 20 (1) (b) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No.46 of 2023), in supersession of earlier Government orders in the G.O.Ms.No.125, Law (LA,L&J-Home-Courts A2) Dept., Dt: 24.09.2013 and hereby, declare that the Deputy Director of Prosecution at District level shall be conferred with the administrative powers and the powers of drawing and disbursing officer, in addition to the powers conferred under sub-section 8 of section 20 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No. 46 of 2023).
