NOTIFICATION BY GOVERNMENT
TELANGANA STATE ELECTION COMMISSION
POLITICAL PARTIES REGISTRATION OF " BAHUJAN SAMAJ PARTY" .

1. Sri Ibram Shekar , President of " Bahujan Samaj Party " , which is a recognised National Party , with reserved Symbol of " Elephant " with ECI has applied for registration of his political party under the Registration of Political Parties and Allotment of Symbols Order , 2018 with the Telangana State Election Commission on 14.10.2025 .
VIII of 2. The Commission set in motion the process of registration of the " Bahujan Samaj Party " as per the provisions of Symbols Order , 2018 , by directing the Party to publish a public notice calling for objections from the general public for registration of the said political party . The Party has published the Notice in Annexure Symbols Order , 2018 in main editions of two " widely circulated " daily news papers i.e. , in "Andhra Jyothi " Telugu daily news paper and "Hans India " English daily news paper both dtd : 20.10.2025 .
3. Further the Commission has hosted the notice in the TSEC web portal on 22.10.2025 and also published in the extra ordinary issue of Telangana Gazette No.48 , dtd: 22.10.2025 calling for objections if any from the general public or any political party for registration of " Bahujan Samaj Party " with the TGSEC.
4. The Commission has not received any objections within stipulated time for registration of " Bahujan Samaj Party " as a political party in response to the public notice .

[Part-VII 5. Now , therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 243K of the Constitution of India and Paragraph 3 in Part II of the Registration of Political Parties and Allotment of Symbols Order , 2018 , the Telangana State Election Commission , hereby, registers the " Bahujan Samaj Party " as a political party with reserved Symbol " Elephant " .
6. Under paragraph 3 (8 ) ( a ) , ( b ) , ( c) , ( d ) and (e) of the Symbols Order , 2018 , the party shall
→ communicate to the Commission , without delay, any change in its name, head office , office - bearers , address or in any other material information .
→ maintain true accounts of its income and expenditure , and particularly maintain separate accounts for the expenditure incurred in connection with local body elections , indicating details of the expenditure incurred on the general publicity of the party , and candidate - wise expenditure incurred for promoting the election of specific candidates set up or supported by the party in various elections to local bodies;
→ maintain accounts and copy of the annual audited accounts along with a copy of the income - tax returns , if any filed under the law for the relevant financial year and shall submit that copy in the office of the Commission within a period of six months after the end of the relevant financial year , even if it is " NIL " it has to be audited and submitted as " NIL " ;
→ observe the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct in Local Body Elections issued by the Commission;
→ follow or carry out the lawful directions and instructions of the Commission , given from time to time, with a view to furthering the conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections or safeguarding the interests of the general public and electorate in particular .
