राज्यपाल, उत्तराखण्ड राज्य वन्यजीव बोर्ड की 19 वीं बैठक में की गयी संस्तुति के क्रम में वन एवं पर्यावरण अनुभाग -2 , उत्तराखण्ड शासन के कार्यालय ज्ञाप संख्या-4046 /X - 2-2016-19 (04) /2014 दिनांक 19 दिसम्बर , 2016 में आंशिक संशोधन करते हुए "कॉमन पीकॉक (पैपिलियों बियानौर ) " के स्थान पर "वूली- ब्रांडेड पीकॉक (पैपिलियों पॉलीक्टर) " को उत्तराखण्ड की राज्य तितली घोषित करते हैं ।
2- उक्त कार्यालय ज्ञाप इस सीमा तक संशोधित समझा जायेगा ।

In pursuance of the provisions of clause ( 3 ) of article 348 of the " Constitution of India, " the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of Notification No. 1508 /X - 3-2025-19 ( 02 )/ 2024 ( E - 72011 ), Dehradun dated June 18 , 2025 for general information:

NOTIFICATION
In accordance with the recommendations made in the 19th meeting of the Uttarakhand State Wildlife Board , the Governor, by partially amendment in the Uttarakhand Government's Office Memorandum No. 4046/X-2-2016-19( 04)/2014 dated December 19, 2016, declares Woolly- branded Peacock (Papilio polyctor) as the State Butterfly of Uttarakhand in placeof Common Peacock (Papilio bianor) .
2. The above office memorandum shall be deemed modified to this extent.
