संख्या-637 / XVIII ( 1 ) / 2025- E- 77744-चूंकि, जनभावनाओं के दृष्टिगत जिला पिथौरागढ़ की तहसील पिथौरागढ़ में अवस्थित ग्राम "खूनी " का नाम परिवर्तित कर " देवीग्राम " किया जाना आवश्यक है;

और चूंकि, भारत सरकार के पत्र संख्या -130 / 53 पब्लिक, दिनांक 11 सितम्बर , 1953 में ग्रामों एवं तहसील के नाम परिवर्तन के पूर्व प्रस्ताव पर भारत सरकार से पूर्वानुमति लिया जाना अपेक्षितं है;

और चूंकि, गृह मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के पत्र संख्या-11 /25 /2025- M &G दिनांक 03.06.2025 तथा विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के पत्र संख्या- SM/ 28 /25/2025, दिनांक 05.06.2025 में ग्राम "खूनी" का नाम परिवर्तन कर "देवीग्राम" किये जाने के सम्बन्ध में अपनी सहमति दी जा चुकी है;

अतएव अब राज्यपाल, उत्तर प्रदेश साधारण खण्ड अधिनियम, 1904 (उत्तर प्रदेश अधिनियम संख्या-1 , वर्ष 1904 ) की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करके इस आदेश के गजट में प्रकाशित होने की दिनांक से जिला पिथौरागढ़ की तहसील पिथौरागढ़ में अवस्थित ग्राम "खूनी" का नाम नीचे दी गयी अनुसूची के अनुसार परिवर्तित करने की सहर्ष स्वीकृति प्रदान करते हैं ।

2- राज्यपाल यह भी निर्देश देते है कि इस अधिसूचना की किसी बात का प्रभाव किसी विधि न्यायालय में जिसमें अब तक उक्त के सम्बन्ध में अधिकारिता का प्रयोग किया गया है , पहले से प्रारम्भ या लम्बित किसी विधिक कार्यवाही पर नही पड़ेगा ।

Inpursuance of the provision of Clause ( 3 ) of the Article 348 of the Constitution of India , the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of Notification No. 637 /XVIII ( 1 ) / 2025-E - 77744, dated August 18, 2025 for general Information .

No. 637 / XVIII (1 ) / 2025 - E -77744--Whereas , in view of public sentiments , it is necessary to change the name of village "KHOONI " located in Tehsil Pithoragarh of District Pithoragarh to "DEVIGRAM" ;

And whereas, in the letter No.130/53 Public, dated September 11 , 1953 , of Government of India, prior permission is required to be obtained from the Government of India on the proposal to change the name of villages & Tehsil ;

And whereas , in letter number SM/ 28/ 25 / 2025 , dated 05.06.2025 of Ministry of Science & Technology , Government of India and letter number 11 / 25 / 2025 - M &G dated 03.06.2025 of Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India has given its consent regarding changing the name of village " KHOONI " as "DEVIGRAM" .

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Uttar Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1904 (U.P Act No. 1 of 1904) , from the date of publication of this order in the Gazette , the Governor is pleased to allow to change the name of village " KHOONI " located in Tehsil Pithoragarh of District Pithoragarh, as per the schedule given below.

2- The Governor also directs that nothing in this Notification shall affect any legal proceedings already initiated or pending in any court of law which has hitherto exercised jurisdiction in respect of the abovesaid.
