संख्या-1140 / xxxi (15 )G / 13 (सा०) /2025-चूँकि, भारत के महारजिस्ट्रार एवं जनगणना आयुक्त, गृह मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार, नई दिल्ली के पत्रांक 9 /10/2025-सीडी (सीईएन) , दिनांक 27 जून, 2025 के द्वारा यह अनुरोध किया गया है कि राज्य सरकार विद्यमान नगर पालिकाओं, राजस्व गाँवों, तहसीलों, उप मण्डलों, जिलों आदि की सीमाओं में कोई भी बदलाव करने के प्रस्तावों को 31 दिसम्बर, 2025 के पहले अन्तिम रूप देकर प्रभावी करें । अधिकार क्षेत्र में कोई भी बदलाव होने पर इन बदलावों की सूचना राज्य में संबंधित जनगणना निदेशालय और भारत के महारजिस्ट्रार के कार्यालय को दी जाए;
और चूँकि, भारत सरकार ने राज्य सरकार से यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भी अनुरोध किया है कि उपर्युक्त प्रशासनिक इकाईयों की सीमा में 01 जनवरी, 2026 से 31 मार्च, 2027 की अवधि के दौरान कोई परिवर्तन, जो भी हो, प्रभावी न किया जाए;
अतएव अब राज्यपाल, जनगणना नियमावली, 1990 के नियम 8 के खण्ड (4) के अधीन प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए नगर पालिकाओं, राजस्व गाँवों, तहसीलों , उप- मण्डलों , जिलों आदि की प्रशासनिक सीमाओं में 01 जनवरी , 2026 से प्रारम्भ होने वाली और 31 मार्च , 2027 को समाप्त होने वाली अवधि के दौरान कोई परिवर्तन नहीं किये जाने का निर्देश देते हैं ।

InPursuance of the provisions of clause (3 ) of article 348 of the Constitution of India , the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of Notification No. 1140 / XXXVI ( 15 ) / 13 (सा०) /2025 , Dated- October 08 , 2025 for general information.
NOTIFICATION
October 08 , 2025
No.1140/ XXXVI ( 15 ) /13 (सा ०) /2025--Whereas it has been requested by the letter No. 9/ 10/ 2025-CD (CEN ) , dated 27 June 2025 of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India , Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , New Delhi that the State Government should finalize and implement the proposals for making any changes in the boundaries of existing municipalities , villages , tehsils , sub- divisions , districts etc. before 31 December 2025. In case of any change in jurisdiction , these changes should be informed to the concerned Census Directorate in the State and the Office of the Registrar General ofIndia;
And whereas the Government of India has also requested the State Government to ensure that no change , whatsoever, is effected in the boundary of the above mentioned administrative units during the period from 01 January , 2026 to 31 March , 2027 ;
Now therefore in exercise of the power conferred under clause 4 of rule 8 of the Census Rules , 1990 the Governor directs that no change shall be made in the administrative boundaries of municipalities , revenue villages , tehsils , sub- divisions , districts etc. during the period starting from 01 January , 2026 and ending on 31 March , 2027.
