अधिसूचना
चूँकि संयुक्त प्रान्त मेला अधिनियम, 1938 (संयुक्त प्रान्त अधिनियम संख्या 16, सन् 1938) की धारा 2 के परन्तुक की अपेक्षानुसार आपत्तियाँ और सुझाव आमंत्रित किये जाने की दृष्टि से सरकारी अधिसूचना संख्या 1457/9-1-2019-41मेला-2017, दिनांक 2 सितम्बर, 2019 को जारी एवं तद्दिनांक को गजट में प्रकाशित की गयी थी;
और, चूॅँकि, कोई आपत्ति या सुझाव निर्धारित समय के भीतर प्राप्त नहीं हुआ है;
अतएव, अब, संयुक्त प्रान्त मेला अधिनियम 1938 (संयुक्त प्रान्त अधिनियम संख्या 16 सन् 1938) की धारा 2 के अधीन शक्तियों का प्रयोग करके, राज्यपाल जिला चित्रकूट में सोमवती अमावस्या मेला, भाद्रपद अमावस्या (भदई) मेला और प्रत्येक वर्ष कार्तिक माह में पाँच दिवसीय दीपावली मेला को प्रान्तीयकृत मेला घोषित करती हैं। उक्त अधिनियम के समस्त उपबंध, नीचे विस्तृत रूप से वर्णित क्षेत्र में उक्त अवधि के दौरान प्रवर्तित होंगे :-
20 कि0मी0 परिधि के भीतर भक्तगण विभिन्न धार्मिक स्थलों यथा-कर्वी, रामघाट, कामद्गिरि, देवांगना, हनुमानधारा, सती अनुसुइया, गुप्तगोदावरी, स्फाटिकशिला, जानकीकुण्ड, भरतकूप आदि का भ्रमण करते हैं।

WHEREAS, Government notification no. 1457/IX-1–2019-41Mela-2017, dated September 2, 2019 was issued and published in the Gazette on the same date with a view to inviting objections and suggestions thereon as required in the proviso to section 2 of the United Provinces Mela Act, 1938 (U.P. Act no. XVI of 1938);
AND, WHEREAS, no objection or suggestion has been received within the stipulated time;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under section 2 of the United Provinces Melas Act, 1938 (U.P. Act no. XVI of 1938), the Governor is pleased to declare Somvati Amavasya Mela, Bhadrapad Amavasya (Bhadai) Mela and Five days Deepavali Mela in the month of Kartik every year as provincial mela in district Chitrakoot. All the provisions of the said Act shall come into operation during the said period in the area detailed below ः-

Within the periphery of 20km, devotees visit various religious places like Karvi, Ramghat, Kamadgiri, Devangna, Hanumandhara, Sati Anusuiya, Guptgodavari, Sfatikshila, Jankikund, Bharatkoop etc.
