उत्तर प्रदेश साधारण खण्ड अधिनियम, 1904 (उत्तर प्रदेश अधिनियम संख्या 1 सन् 1904) की धारा 21 के साथ पठित संयुक्त प्रान्त पंचायत राज अधिनियम, 1947 (संयुक्त प्रान्त अधिनियम संख्या 26 सन् 1947) की धारा 110 के अधीन शक्तियों का प्रयोग करके राज्यपाल, उत्तर प्रदेश पंचायत राज (स्थानों और पदों का आरक्षण और आवंटन) नियमावली, 1994 का संशोधन करने की दृष्टि से निम्नलिखित नियमावली बनाती हैं :-

(बारहवाँ संशोधन) नियमावली, 2021
1-(1) यह नियमावली उत्तर प्रदेश पंचायत राज (स्थानों और पदों का आरक्षण और संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ आवंटन) (बारहवां संशोधन) नियमावली, 2021 कही जाएगी। 2 उत्तर प्रदेश असाधारण गजट, 17 मार्च, 2021 2-उत्तर प्रदेश पंचायत राज (स्थानों और पदों का आरक्षण और आवंटन) नियम 2 का संशोधन नियमावली, 1994 में, नियम 2 में खण्ड (ग) के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित खण्ड बढ़ा दिया जायेगा अर्थातः-
(घ) 'पूर्ववर्ती निर्वाचन' का तात्पर्य सामान्य निर्वाचन, 2015 और पश्चात्वर्ती सामान्य निर्वाचनों से है।

IN exercise of the powers under section 110 of the United Provinces Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (U.P. Act no. 26 of 1947) read with section 21 of the Uttar Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1904 (U.P. Act no. 1 of 1904), the Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Reservation and Allotment of Seats and Offices) Rules, 1994:-
THE UTTAR PRADESH PANCHAYAT RAJ (RESERVATION AND ALLOTMENT OF SEATS AND OFFICES) (TWELFTH AMENDMENT) RULES, 2021
Short titile and
1. (1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Reservation commencement
and Allotment of Seats and Offices) (Twelfth Amendment) Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Gazette.
Amendment of
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Reservation and Allotment of Seats and rule 2
Offices) Rules, 1994 in rule 2 after clause (c), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
(d) 'previous election' means the General Election of 2015 and the subsequent General Elections.
