''साधारण खण्ड अधिनियम, 1897 (अधिनियम संख्या 10 सन् 1897) की धारा 21 के साथ पठित उत्तर प्रदेश में उसकी प्रवृत्ति के सम्बन्ध में यथा संशोधित भारतीय स्टाम्प अधिनियम, 1899 (अधिनियम संख्या 2 सन् 1899) की धारा 31 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन शक्तियों का प्रयोग करके राज्यपाल, इस अधिसूचना के गजट में प्रकाशित किये जाने के दिनांक से पूर्वोक्त धारा 31 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन किसी विलेख पर प्रभार्य समुचित स्टाम्प शुल्क के न्यायनिर्णयन हेतु कलेक्टर के समक्ष प्रस्तुत आवेदन पर एक सौ रूपये शुल्क निर्धारित करती हैं।''

IN exercise of the powers under sub-section (1) of section 31 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Act no. 2 of 1899) as amended in its application to Uttar Pradesh read with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897), the Governor, with effect from the date of the publication of this notification in the Gazette, is pleased to fix the fee of one hundred rupees, for adjudication of proper stamp duty chargeable on an instrument, on application presented before the collector under the aforesaid sub- section (1) of section 31.
