उत्तर प्रदेश में अपनी प्रवृत्ति के सम्बन्ध में समय-समय पर यथा संशोधित पुलिस अधिनियम, 1861 (अधिनियम संख्या 5 सन्‌ 1861) की धारा 34 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन शक्ति का प्रयोग करके राज्यपाल नीचे अनुसूची के स्तम्भ-2 में उल्लिखित जिले में, स्तम्भ-3 में उल्लिखित मेला द्वारा अध्यासित किये जाने वाले, स्तम्भ-4 में उल्लिखित ग्रामीण क्षेत्र पर उक्त धारा की उपधारा (1) के उपबन्धों का विस्तार, उक्त उपधारा (1) में उल्लिखित सभी अपराधों के सम्बन्ध में, स्तम्भ-5 में मेला के सामने उल्लिखित अवधि के लिए करते हैं।

IN exercise of the power under sub-section (2) of Section 34 of the Police Act, 1861 (Act no. V of 1861), the Governor is pleased to extend the provision of sub-section (1) of the said Section in respect of all the offences mentioned in the said sub-section (1) to the rural area mentioned in Column-4, to be occupied by the Mela mentioned in Column-3, in the District noted in Column-2 and for the period noted against the Mela Column-5 of the Schedule below.
