उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम, 2019 (अधिनियम संख्या 35 सन् 2019) की धारा 74 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन शक्तियों का प्रयोग करके राज्यपाल, राज्य उपभोक्ता विवाद प्रतितोष आयोग, उत्तर प्रदेश और उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रत्येक जिला उपभोक्ता विवाद प्रतितोष आयोग में उपभोक्ता मध्यस्थता प्रकोष्ठ की स्थापना करती हैं।
2-उपभोक्ता मध्यस्थता प्रकोष्ठ, राज्य उपभोक्ता विवाद प्रतितोष आयोग, उत्तर प्रदेश और उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रत्येक जिला उपभोक्ता विवाद प्रतितोष आयोग से सम्बद्ध होगा और उसकी अध्यक्षता उस आयोग के सम्बन्धित अध्यक्ष द्वारा की जायेगी।
3-उपभोक्ता मध्यस्थता प्रकोष्ठ में मध्यस्थों का एक पैनल होगा जिसमें ऐसी संख्या में मध्यस्थ होंगे जैसा कि अध्यक्ष द्वारा विनिश्चित किया जाय, जो उन आयेागों के अध्यक्षों और सदस्यों से गठित चयन समिति की संस्तुति पर चयनित किया जायेगा। 2 उत्तर प्रदेश असाधारण गजट, 25 नवम्बर, 2021 IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. IN exercise of the powers under sub-section (1) of section 74 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Act no. 35 of 2019), the Governor is pleased to establish a Consumer Mediation Cell in the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Uttar Pradesh and in each of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions of Uttar Pradesh.
2. The Consumer Mediation Cell shall be attached to the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Uttar Pradesh and to each of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions of Uttar Pradesh, and it shall be headed by the respective President of that Commission.
3. The Consumer Mediation Cell shall have a panel of mediators consisting of such number of mediators, as may be decided by the President, who shall be selected on the recommendation of a selection committee consisting of the President and a Member of that Commission.
