NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Election Commission of India had announced the schedule for Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls in the State of Uttar Pradesh with reference to 1st January, 2022 as the qualifying date vide its letter No. 23/2021-ERS(Vol-II) dated 3rd August, 2021; and
Whereas, as per schedule, the draft roll was published on 1st November, 2021 in respect of all Assembly Constituencies of the State; and
Whereas, the period of filling claims and objections was fixed from 1st November, 2021 to 30th November, 2021; and
Whereas, the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh has requested the Commission to extend the period of filing claims and objections till 7th December, 2021; and
Whereas, the Election Commission of India has, on review of the progress of ongoing exercise of SSR in the State, decided that the period of filing claims and objections should be extended up to 5th December, 2021 (sunday), in order to give more time to all the eligible persons to file their claims and objections.
Now, therefore, the Election Commission of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Rule 12 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, hereby extends for all Assembly Constituencies in the State of Uttar Pradesh, the period for filing claims and objections upto and including 5th December, 2021 for on going Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls with reference to 01-01- 2022 as the qualifying date. Schedule for all the remaining activities of SSR will remain unchanged.

अधिसूचना
यतः, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, ने 01 जनवरी, 2022 की अर्हता तिथि के आधार पर उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के लिए निर्वाचक नामावलियों के विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण का कार्यक्रम अपने पत्र, संख्या 23/2021-ई0आर0एस0(खण्ड-II), दिनांक 3 अगस्त, 2021 द्वारा घोषित किया था; और
यतः, कार्यक्रमानुसार राज्य की सभी विधान सभा क्षेत्रों की निर्वाचक नामावलियों का प्रारूप प्रकाशन 01 नवम्बर, 2021 को हो गया है; और
यतः, दावे और आपत्तियाँ दाखिल करने की अवधि दिनांक 01 नवम्बर, 2021 से 30 नवम्बर, 2021 तक नियत थी; और
यतः, मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी, उत्तर प्रदेश ने आयोग को दावे और आपत्तियॉ दाखिल करने की अवधि को 07 दिसम्बर, 2021 तक बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया है; और
यतः, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, ने वर्तमान विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण का कार्यक्रम की समीक्षा के उपरान्त यह निर्णय लिया है कि सभी पात्र व्यक्तियों को दावे और आपत्तियॉ दाखिल करने हेतु अधिक समय देने के लिए दावे और आपत्तियॉ दाखिल करने की अवधि को 05 दिसम्बर, 2021 तक बढ़ाना चाहिए।
अतः, अब भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, निर्वाचक पंजीकरण नियम, 1960, के नियम 12 के अधीन प्रदत्त शक्ति का प्रयोग करते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के सभी विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में, दिनांक 01 जनवरी, 2022 की अर्हता तिथि के आधार पर चल रहे निर्वाचक नामावलियों के विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण में दावे और आपत्तियॉ दाखिल करने की अवधि 05 दिसम्बर, 2021 (रविवार) तक बढ़ाता है। विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षिण कार्यक्रम की अन्य गतिविधियों का कार्यक्रम यथावत रहेगा।
