अधिसूचना
चूँकि, पिछले दिनों उत्तर प्रदेश के कतिपय जिलों में हिंसा की घटनायें हुयी हैं, और उनकी प्रतिक्रिया स्वरूप राज्य के अन्य भागों में भी ऐसी घटनायें हुयी हैं, और राज्य के अन्य भागों में भी ऐसी घटनायें होने की सम्भावना है;
और, चूँकि, समाज विरोधी तत्व राज्य की सुरक्षा, लोक व्यवस्था और समुदाय के लिए आवश्यक प्रदायों और सेवाओं को बनाये रखने के प्रतिकूल क्रिया-कलापों में भाग ले रहें हैं;
और, चूँकि, उत्तर प्रदेश में विद्यमान और संभावित उपर्युक्त परिस्थितियों को दृष्टि में रखते हुए राज्य सरकार का यह समाधान हो गया है कि ऐसा करना आवश्यक है;
अतएव, अब, साधारण खण्ड अधिनियम, 1897 (अधिनियम संख्या 10 सन् 1897) की धारा 21 के साथ पठित राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा अधिनियम, 1980 (अधिनियम संख्या 65 सन् 1980) की धारा 3 की उपधारा (3) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्ति का प्रयोग करके और समय-समय पर यथा उपान्तरित और अन्ततः सरकारी अधिसूचना संख्या 111/1/ 2 उत्तर प्रदेश असाधारण गजट, 20 जनवरी, 2022 श्री राज्यपाल, राज्य के समस्त जिला मजिस्ट्रेटों को दिनांक 17 जनवरी, 2022 से तीन मास की अग्रेतर अवधि के लिए उक्त धारा 3 की उपधारा (2) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्ति का प्रयोग करने के लिए सशक्त करते हैं।

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 111/1/1/80-CX-7–T.C.-III, dated January 20, 2022 :

Dated Lucknow, January 20, 2022
WHEREAS, in the past, there have been incidents of violence in certain districts of Uttar Pradesh and as a reaction thereto similar incidents have occurred in other parts of the State and are likely to occur in other parts of the State also;
AND, WHEREAS, anti-social elements are indulging in activities prejudicial to the security of the State, maintenance of public order and maintenance of supplies and services essential to the community;
AND, WHEREAS, in view of the aforesaid circumstances prevailing and likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh, the State Government is satisfied that it is necessary so to do;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the National Security Act, 1980 (Act no. 65 of 1980) read with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. X of 1897) and in partial modification of the orders contained in Government notification no. 111/1/1/80-CX-6, dated September 25, 1980 as modified from time to time and lastly modified by Government notification no. 111/1/1/80-CX-7–T.C.-III, dated October 13, 2021, the Governor is pleased to empower all the District Magistrates of the State to exercise the powers, conferred by sub-section (2) of the said section 3 for a further period of three months, with effect from January 17, 2022.
