IN exercise of the powers under sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Utter Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1997 (U.P. Act no. 21 of 1997), the Governor is pleased to exempt from payment of tax imposed under sub-section 2(A) of section 4 and additional tax under section 6 of Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1997 for the following categories of Vehicles:-
(1) Educational Instituation Vehicles. (2) All stage carriage buses of State Transport undertakings (including city bus services).
Such exemption shall be allowed only to those vechicles which are registered in NCR ( other than Uttar Pradesh) and plying exclusively within the limits of National Capital Region under the terms and condition of Reciprocal Common Transport Agreement-2021.
