IN exercise of the powers conferred under clause (d) of section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1962 (U.P. Act no. 18 of 1962) read with Paragraphs 5.2 and 5.6 of the Uttar Pradesh In-Situ Slum Redevelopment Policy, 2021, the Governor pleased to appoint for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Gazette.

(i) the authority specified in Schedule-I below as the Competent Authority for the State level;

(ii) the authority specified in Schedule-II below as the Competent Authority for the muinisipal Corporation at the City Level (for the Municipal Corporations and for the Local Bodies); and

(iii) the authority specified in Schedule-III below as the Competent Authority for the local bodies (Nagar Palika Parishad/Nagar Panchayat) at the city level.
