IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 2659/IX-1–2022-37T.A.-22, dated September 16, 2022:

Dated Lucknow, September 16, 2022

WHEREAS Government notification no. 757/IX-1–2022-37T.A.-2022, dated July 15, 2022 was issued and published in the Gazette with a view to invite objections and suggestions from the general public with respect to the inclusion of the areas specified in the Schedule below in the transitional area of Nagar Panchayat Ramkola in district Kushinagar as required by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Act no. 2 of 1916);

AND, WHEREAS, objections and suggestions received in pursuance of said notification were disposed of vide Office Memorandum no. 2548/IX-1–2022-37T.A.-22, dated September 1, 2022;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution of India read with sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Act no. 2 of 1916) and in partial modification of notification no. 3057-T/33-35(1)-56, dated November 8, 1958 and other previous notifications issued in this behalf, the Governor, having regard to the population of the area, the density of population therein, the revenue generated for the local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and economic importance and such other factors, is pleased to include the areas specified in Schedule below in the transitional area of Nagar Panchayat Ramkola in district Kushinagar for the purposes of Part IX-A of the Constitution of India.
