NOTIFICATION
No. 322/UP-LC-G&T/2023:- WHEREAS, the Commission, vide its Notification No.322/UP-LC- G&T/2023 dated 05th January, 2023, has notified the schedule for the biennial election to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from the following Graduates' and Teachers' Constituencies-

WHEREAS, the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh vide letter no. 82/सीईओ-2-34/2-2022 dated 17.01.2023 has requested to extend the date of completion of election from 04.02.2023 to 07.02.2023; and WHEREAS, the Commission after considering the request made by the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh, has decided to extend the date for completion of election from 04.02.2023 to 07.02.2023;
and 2 mÙkj çns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 27 tuojh] 2023 Now, therefore, the Commission, in exercise of its powers conferred under Section 30 read with Section 153 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, hereby directs that the following amendments shall be made in its Notification No. 322/UP-LC-G&T/2023 dated 05th January, 2023, namely;
For the existing entry (e) of clause (A) following entry shall be substituted:
"(e) the 07thFebruary, 2023 (Tuesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed".
