IN pursuance of the provisions of Article 348 (3) of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 222/LXI-2023, dated April 3, 2023:

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (e) of clause (3) of Article 171 of the constitution of India, read with clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 10 of the representation of the people Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is pleased to nominate as members of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, the following Six persons namely :-
1. Shri Rajni Kant Maheshwari, S/o Shri Mahendra Pal, near Gandhi Murti, Nadrai Gate, Kasganj.
2. Shri Saket Misra, S/o Shri Nripendra Misra, Ground floor, 186, Jorbagh Road, New Delhi.
3. Shri Lal Ji Nirmal, S/o Shri Ramcharan Prasad Nirmal, 6/58, Vikash Nagar, Lucknow.
4. Shri Tariq Mansoor, S/o Shri Hafeezul Rehman, Hafeez Manzil, Marris Road, Koil, Aligarh.

WHEREAS nominations have been made by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh in pursuance of sub clause (e) of clause (3) of Article 171 of the Constitution of India for the purpose of filling the Six seats of Six nominated members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council;
