WHEREAS a private University with the name of Mahaveer University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh sponsored by New Tuples Educational Society, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has been established vide the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019 (U.P. Act no. 12 of 2019) as amended by the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 (U.P. Ordinance no. 7 of 2023).
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the aforesaid Act, the Governor is pleased to permit the aforesaid University to operate with the name Mahaveer University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
