धारा-2-क का
3–मूल अधिनियम की धारा-2-क में,–
संशोधन
(क) उपधारा (1-ख) के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित उपधारा बढ़ा दी जायेगी, अर्थात :-
''(1-ग) उपधारा (1), (1-क) और (1-ख) में नि(cid:7416)दष्ट विश्वविद्यालयों के
अतिरिक्त ऐसे दिनांक से जिसे राज्य सरकार गजट में अधिसूचना द्वारा
इस निमित नियत करें, कु शीनगर में एक विश्वविद्यालय जो महात्मा बु(cid:7373)
कृ षि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय, कु शीनगर के रूप में जाना जायेगा, की
स्थापना की जायेगी।''
(ख) उप-धारा (2) में शब्द और अंक ''उप-धारा (1) या उप-धारा (1-क) या उपधारा (1-ख)'' के स्थान पर शब्द और अंक ''उप-धारा (1), (1-क) या (1-ख)'' रख दिये जायेंगे।

अधिनियम संख्या 45 lu~ 1958½ अधिनियमित किया गया है।
कृ षि के क्षेत्र में नई प्रौद्योगिकी और अनुसंधान के लाभों को उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के पूवा(cid:7304)चल क्षेत्र के
कृ षकों हेतु अपेक्षाकृ त अधिक सुगम बनाने तथा पूवा(cid:7304)चल क्षेत्र के छात्रों को कृ षि शिक्षा का लाभ उनके निवास
स्थान के निकट उपलब्ध कराने हेतु जिला कु शीनगर में महात्मा बु(cid:7373) कृ षि एवं प्रौद्योगिक fo'ofo|ky; की
स्थापना के लिए पूव(cid:7299)क्त अधिनियम में संशोधन करने का विनिश्चय किया गया है।

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Shiksha evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalay (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2023 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2023) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on August 17, 2023. The Krishi Shiksha evam Anusandhan Anubhag is administratively concerned with the said Adhiniyam.

ACT
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya
Adhiniyam, 1958.
IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Seventy fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title
1. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik
Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2023.
Amendment 2. In section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya
of section 2 of Adhiniyam, 1958 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act") for the existing
clause (l), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
U.P. Act no. 45 of 1958
"(l) University means the Gobind Ballabh Pant Krishi Evam Prodyogik
Vishwavidyalaya or the Acharya Narendra Deva Krishi Evam Prodyogik
Vishwavidyalaya or the Chandrashekhar Azad Krishi Evam Prodyogik
Vishwavidyalaya or the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik
Vishwavidyalaya or the Banda Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya,
Banda or the Mahatma Buddha Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya,
Kushinagar, as the case may be."
Amendment of 3. In section 2-A of the principal Act,-
section 2-A (a) after sub-section (1-B), the following sub-section shall be inserted,
namely :-
"(1-C) Besides the Universities referred to in sub-sections (1), (1-A)
and (1-B) there shall be established, with effect from such date as the
State Government may by notification in Gazette appoint in this behalf, a
University at Kushinagar to be known as the Mahatma Buddha Krishi
Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya, Kushinagar."
(b) in sub-section (2), for the words and figures "sub-section (1) or sub-section
(1-A) or sub-section (1-B)", the words and figures "sub-sections (1), (1-A), (1-B) or
(1-C)" shall be substituted.
Amendment of 4. In the Schedule to the principal Act,-
Schedule
(a) from the entries in column-3 of serial number-2, the words
"Gorakhpur", "Basti" and "Azamgarh" shall be omitted;
(b) after serial number-5, the following serial number and entries relating
thereto shall column-wise be inserted, namely :-

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958 (U.P.Act no. 45 of 1958) has been enacted to establish and incorporate Agriculture Universities for the development of agriculture in, and for the benefit of rural people of the State of Uttar Pradesh.
In order to make the benefits of new technology and research in the field of agriculture more accessible to the farmers of Purvanchal region of the State Uttar Pradesh, and to provide the benefits of agriculture education to the students of Purvanchal region near their place of residence, it has been decided to amend the aforesaid Act to establish Mahatma Buddha Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya in district Kushinagar.
The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Vidheyak, 2023 is introduced accordingly.
