No. 154/UP-2023-P.Admn.:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13A of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby designates Shri Navdeep Rinwa, IAS (UP : 1999) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Uttar Pradesh with immediate effect and until further orders in place of Shri Ajay Kumar Shukla, IAS.

2. Shri Navdeep Rinwa, IAS, cease to hold and handover forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, which he may be holding before such assumption of office.

3. Shri Navdeep Rinwa, IAS while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh shall not hold any additional Charges whatsoever under the Government of Uttar Pradesh except that he should be designated Secretary to the Government in charge of election Department in the State Secretariat.
