PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION TO CARRY OUT SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

SIA NOTIFICATION

The State Government intends to acquire the following lands in consultation with the concerned Panchayat/Municipality/Municipal Corporation, as the case may be, at village/ward level, in the affected area and carry out a Social Impact Assessment study for public purpose. The study shall be undertaken as per the provisions of section 4 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act no. 30 of 2013):—

• Name of Requiring body– Civil Aviation Department, Uttar Pradesh.

• Purpose of proposed acquisition of land– For Rehabilitation and Resettlement of displaced families from acquisition of land for expansion of Noida International Airport, Jewar (Stage- 2/Phase-1).

• Organization to undertake the study– Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar.

• Contact details of the Organization– Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar (201312).

• Land details—

• Brief description and benefits to be arrived from the proposed project– There will be structural development of the industrial infrastructure; employment opportunities will increase, manufacturing and exports will be encouraged. The expansion of the Airport will facilitate air traffic along with rapid growth in tourism.

• The project area and the affected areas– Above mentioned 7 villages of Tehsil Jewar, district Gautambuddha Nagar and approximately 215.4446 Hectares Land.

• Whether consent of Gram Sabhas and/or land owners is required?– According to the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Uttar Pradesh) Rules, 2016.

• The date of completion of SIA– 10 December, 2023
