IN exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 read with Article 233 of the
Constitution, the Governor in accordance with the recommendations of High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amending the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1975.
THE UTTAR PRADESH, HIGHER JUDICIAL SERVICE (FIFTEENTH AMENDMENT)
RULES, 2023
1. (1) These rules may be called "The Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Short title and commencement (Fifteenth Amendment) Rules, 2023".
(2) These Rules shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from January 1, 2020.

2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires, 'Rules' mean "The
Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1975".
3. In the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1975, for Rule 27 set out

in Column-1 below, the rule as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely:&
