WHEREAS preliminary notification no. 1985 dated April 27, 2023 was issued under sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, in respect of village Meerut Khas 0.1686 hec., Rithani area 0.0322 hec., Pargana Tehsil Meerut District Meerut is required for public purpose, namely project "Implementation of Delhi-Ghaziabad- Meerut RRTS Corridor" through National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and lastly published in two local newspaper Amar Ujala (in Hindi) and Hindustan Times (in English) dated April 28, 2023. The Deputy Collector/Assistant Collector Meerut was appointed as Administrator for the purpose of rehabilitation and resettlement of the project affected families.

After considering the report of the Collector submitted in pursuance to provision under sub- section (2) of the section 15 of the Act, the Governor is pleased to declare under section 19 (1) of the Act that he is satisfied that the area of the land mentioned in the given schedule "A" is needed for public purpose and the land to the extent of………..Nill……hectares in village-………..Nill…… Pargana- ………..Nill……District-………..Nill……as given in schedule "B" has been identified as the rehabilitation and resettlement area for the purpose of rehabilitation and resettlement of the displaced families.

The Collector is further pleased under sub-section (2) of Section 19 of the Act, to direct the Collector of Meerut to publish a summary of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme with publication of the declaration to this effect. The summary of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme is attached herewith.

NOTIFICATION OF DECLARATION BY COLLECTOR

[Under Sub-section (2) of Section 19 of the Act]

By the order of declaration made under Government notification no. 1985, dated April 27, 2023, 0.2008 hectares of land in village Meerut Khas (0.1686 hect.) and Rithani (0.0322 hect.) Tehsil Sadar, District Meerut is required for public purpose, namely Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor project through National Capital Region Transport Corporation, I hereby published the declaration made therein summary of Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme along with Government notification, a summary of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme is given below.

Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor would bring economic growth in the region and employment opportunities to the inhabitants would enhance. Also the traffic congestion between the National Capital and Nodal Cities would reduce to improve the overall environment of the area.

For the said project, 0.2008 hectares land is proposed to be acquired in village Meerut Khas (0.1686 hect.) and Rithani (0.0322hect.) Tehsil Sadar, District Meerut in which around 101 families are1179 RPH 2024 (Rajaswa vibhag samuchit sarkar) (Bhoomi folder-22 ) data 8e 6 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 5 ekpZ] 2024 expected to be affected because of the acquisition. For the project affected families, R & R draft scheme has been prepared. The salient features of the Resettlement and Rehabilitation scheme are as follows:

➢ The compensation for land and assets attached with it would be evaluated and distributed as per schedule-1 and other provisions laid down under RFCTLARR Act, 2013.

➢ The Rehabilitation and Resettlement assistance would be paid as per the provisions of the schedule-2 of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013.

➢ One time payment of Rs. 5,00,000/- in lieu of Job/annuity to each affected family.

➢ One time resettlement allowance of Rs. 50,000/- to each affected family.

➢ Subsistence grant of Rs. 3000/- per month for a period of 12 months to all displaced families.

➢ One time transportation allowance @ Rs. 50,000/- per displaced family.

The implementation of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme will be completed within 18 months.

The plan for the land may be inspected in the office of the collector for the purpose of land Acquisition.
