The Uccha Shiksha Anubhag-1 is administratively concerned with the said Adhiniyam.

further to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973.
IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Seventy-fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:–
1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Universities (Amendment) Short title and commencement
Act, 2024.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 19th day of July, 2024.
Amendment of
2. (1) In the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973 hereinafter referred to as section 4 of the "principal Act", in sub-section (1-A) of section 4,-

Repeal and saving 6. (1) The Uttar Pradesh State Universities (Amendment) U.P.Ordinance no. 12 of 2024 Ordinance, 2024 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action
taken under the provisions of the principal Act as amended by the
Ordinance referred to in sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have been
done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the principal Act as
amended by this Act as if the provisions of this Act were in force at all
material times.

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
The Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973 (President's Act no. 10 of 1973) has been enacted
to amend and consolidate the laws related to certain universities in Uttar Pradesh.
To provide quality higher education, the Uttar Pradesh Government has set the goal of
establishing a State University in each division. In pursuit of this goal, one University each has been
established in Devipatan Division, Vindhyachal Division and Moradabad Division. An ancient Temple
of Guru Jambheshwar Ji is located in Moradabad district and the general public has unwavering faith in
Guru Jambheshwar Ji In view of the above, it was decided to amend the aforesaid Act to rename the Uttar
Pradesh State University, Moradabad, established in Moradabad district as Guru Jambheshwar University 6 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 13 vxLr] 2024 and similarly to rename Maharaja Suheldev State University, Azamgarh, Maa Vindhyavasini State University, Mirzapur, Maa Pateshwari State University, Balrampur and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University, Aligarh as Maharaja Suheldev University, Azamgarh, Maa Vindhyavasini University, Mirzapur, Maa Pateshwari University, Balrampur and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh respectively.
Since the State Legislature was not in session and immediate legislative action was required to implement the aforesaid decision, the Uttar Pradesh State Universities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024 (U.P. Ordinance no. 12 of 2024) was promulgated by the Governor on 19-07-2024.
This Bill is introduced to replace the aforesaid Ordinance.
