Uchcha Shiksha Anubhag-1 is administratively concerned with the said Ordinance.
THE UTTAR PRADESH PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES (EIGHTH AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2024

[Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy fifth Year of the Republic of India]
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019.
WHEREAS the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor is satisfied
that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:–
Short title 1. This Ordinance may be called the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Eighth Amendment) Ordinance, 2024.

Schedule-2 of (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act") after serial no. 45, the following
U.P. Act no. 12 serial number along with the entries relating thereto shall column-wise be of 2019
inserted, namely:-

Power to remove 3. (1) The State Government may, for the purposes of removing any difficulty
difficulties
in relation to the establishment of of "Vidya University, Meerut", Uttar Pradesh by
order published in the Gazette, direct that the provisions of the principal Act shall
during such period, as may be specified in the order, have effect subject to such
adaptations, whether by way of modification, addition or omission, as it may deem
necessary or expedient :
Provided that no such order shall be made after two years from the date of
commencement of this Ordinance.
(2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid before both Houses of the
State Legislature, as soon as may be after it is made.
