IN exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amending the Uttar Pradesh X-Ray Technician Service Rules, 1986.
The Uttar Pradesh X-Ray Technician Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2024
1. (1) These rules may be called The Uttar Pradesh X-Ray Technician Service Short Title and commencement
(First Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Substitution of rule 3 (1)
2- In the Uttar Pradesh X-ray Technician Service Rules, 1986, hereinafter referred to as the said rules, for existing rule 3(1) set out in column-1 below, the rules as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely;-

3-(i) 'Appointing Authority' means the Director General of Medical and Health Services, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
Appointing authority 3-(i) "Appointing authority" means Joint Director, Employees State Insurance, Principals of Medical Colleges, Chief Medical Officers, Senior Medical Superintendents, Superintendents in- chief of hospitals and Heads of institutions in respect of the posts in their offices:

3. (vii.a) 'Other Backward Classes' means the backward classes of citizens specified
in schedule-1 of the act as amended from time to time.
4- In the said rules for existing rule 6 set out in column-1 below, the rules as set out Substitution of rule 6 in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely;-.

Reservation 6- Reservation for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other categories shall be in accordance with the orders of the Government in force at the time of the recruitment.
6-Reservation for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes and other categories shall be in accordance with the Act and the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation For Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Ex. Servicemen) Act, 1993, and also in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation For Economically Weaker Section's) Act, 2020, as amended from time to time, and the orders of the Government in force at the time of the recruitment.
5- In the said rules, in rule 10 set out in column-1 below, the rules as set out in Substitution of rule 10 Column-2 shall be substituted, namely;-.

Age 10- A candidate for recruitment must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age more than 30 years on July 1, of the year of recruitment:
