IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Kreeda Vishwavidyalay (Sanshodhan) Adhyadesh, 2024 (Uttar Pradesh Adhyadesh Sankhya 21 of 2024) promulgated by the Governor. Khel Anubhag is administratively concerned with the said Ordinance.
THE UTTAR PRADESH STATE SPORTS UNIVERSITY (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2024
(U.P. ORDINANCE NO. 21 OF 2024)
[Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy fifth Year of the Republic of India]
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Sports Universities Act, 2021.
WHEREAS the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:–
1.(1) This Ordinance may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Sports Universities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024.
Short title, extent and commencement
(2) It shall extent to the whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in this behalf, appoint.
mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 6 fnlEcj] 2024 3Amendment of 2. In the Uttar Pradesh State Sports University Act, 2021, hereinafter referred
to as the principal Act, for clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 12, the following
section 12 of UP Act no. 8 of 2021 clause shall be substituted, namely :–
"(c) One member, shall be renowned sports administrator or a renowned
sports personality to be nominated by the State Government."
Amendment of 3. For section 49 of the Principal Act, the following section shall be
section 49
substituted, namely :–
"49. Notwithstanding anything contained in section 12, the first Vice-Chancellor
shall be appointed, as soon as may be, after the coming into force of this Act, by the State
Government for a term not exceeding three years and may be extended by two years on
satisfactory service on such terms and conditions as it may deem fit."
