IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalay (Dasvaan Sanshodhan) Adhyadesh, 2024 (Uttar Pradesh Adhyadesh Sankhya 20 of 2024) promulgated by the Governor. Uchcha Shiksha Anubhag-1 is administratively concerned with the said Ordinance.
THE UTTAR PRADESH PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES (TENTH AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2024

[Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy fifth Year of the Republic of India]
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019.
WHEREAS, the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:–
Short title 1. This Ordinance may be called the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Tenth Amendment) Ordinance, 2024.

Schedule 2 of (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act") after serial no. 46, the following serial
U.P. Act no. 12 number along with the entries relating thereto shall column wise be inserted, namely :-

Power to remove 3. (1) The State Government, for the purposes of removing any difficulty in
difficulties
relation to the establishment of Vivek University, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh by order
published in the Gazette, direct that the provisions of the principal Act shall during
such period, as may be specified in the order, have effect subject to such adaptations,
whether by way of modification, addition or omission, as it may deem necessary or
expedient :
Provided that no such order shall be made after two years from the date of
commencement of this Ordinance.
(2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid before both Houses of the
State Legislature, as soon as may be, after it is made.
