IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 8/2024/2412/XXXVI-3-2024-1790704, dated December 23, 2024.

WHEREAS the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Worker's Social Security (First Amendment) Rules, 2024 which the Governor proposes to make in exercise of the powers under sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Unorganized Workers' Social Security Act, 2008 (Act no. 33 of 2008) was published vide notification no. 3/2024/500/XXXVI-03-2024-1790704, dated June 21, 2024 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before the expiry of period of forty-five days from the date of publication of the said notification in the Gazette;
AND, WHEREAS, no objection or suggestion was received from persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of the said period of forty-five days;
mÙkj çns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 23 fnlEcj] 2024 3NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Unorganized Workers' Social Security Act, 2008 (Act no. 33 of 2008) read with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897), the Governor is pleased to make the following rules, with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Worker's Social Security Rules, 2016, namely:-
THE UTTAR PRADESH UNORGANIZED WORKER'S SOCIAL SECURITY
(FIRST AMENDMENT) RULES, 2024
Short title and 1. (1) These Rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Worker's
commencement Social Security (First Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of its final publication in the
official Gazette.
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Worker's Social Security Rules, 2016, for Amendment of rule 23
sub-rule (3) of rule 23 set out in Column-I below, the sub-rule as set out in Column-II
shall be substituted, namely :–

(3) He shall become the
