NOTIFICATION
No.100/UP-LA/1/2025: - WHEREAS, the seat of Shri Awadhesh Prasad in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Uttar Pradesh, elected from 273-Milkipur (SC) Assembly Constituency, has become vacant on 13th June, 2024 by reason of his resignation; and
WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy so caused;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of Sections 150, 30 and 56, of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby:–
(A) calls upon the said 273-Milkipur (SC) Assembly Constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh, to elect, before the 10th February, 2025 (Monday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person belonging to any of the Scheduled Castes of the State for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the Legislative Assembly of the State;
(B) appoints with respect to said election:–
(a) the 17th January, 2025 (Friday), as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 18th January, 2025 (Saturday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;
(c) the 20th January, 2025 (Monday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 5th February, 2025 (Wednesday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken;
(e) the 10th February, 2025 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and 2 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 10 tuojh] 2025 (C) fixes the hours from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above, for the election.
