IN exercise of the powers under Section 15 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act no. 46 of 2023), the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, for the purposes of maintenance of Law and Order and peaceful conduct of by-election-2025 for the Legislative Assembly Constituency 273- Milkipur (District-Ayodhya), is pleased to appoint with effect from the date of announcement of by-election by the Election Commission of India till the Model Code of Conduct cease to be in operation, all Gazetted Officers and Subordinate Gazetted Officers of all departments of the State Government and all officers holding posts carrying the Pay Level-7, Grade Pay-4600 and above in Local Authorities and Corporations or Bodies owned and controlled by the State Government, posted in the district Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and who are deployed for the conduct of elections, as Executive Magistrates to be known as Special Executive Magistrates and to confer on them all the powers of the Executive Magistrates as are conferrable under the said Sanhita on such Executive Magistrates, to be exercised within the limits of district Ayodhya, in which they are for the time being posted.
