In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution the Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amending the Uttar Pradesh Co-operative and Panchayat Audit Service Rules, 2015

THE UTTAR PRADESH CO-OPERATIVE AND PANCHAYAT

AUDIT SERVICE (FIRST AMENDMENT) RULES, 2024

1. (1) These rules may be called The Uttar Pradesh Co-operative and Panchayat Short title and commencement Audit Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force at once.

2. In The Uttar Pradesh Co-operative and Panchayat Audit Service Rules, 2015 Amendment of Rule 3

hereinafter referred to as the said rules, in rule 3 for existing sub rule (f) and (g) set out in Column-1 below, the sub-rule as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely:-

3. In the said rules, for existing rule-5set out in column-1 below, the rule as set Amendment of Rule 5 out in Column-2 shall be substituted , namely :-

Provided that if suitable persons are not available for promotion, the post may be filled by transfer from amongst substantively appointed Joint Directors and Deputy Directors of the Local Fund Audit Service who have completed three years service and five years service respectively on the aforementioned posts or by transfer from amongst members or the Uttar Pradesh Finance and Accounts Service (Senior Scale).

By promotion through the Selection Committee from amongst substantively appointed Additional Director who have completed three years service as such or amongst substantively appointed Additional Director who have completed total service of twenty years as Additional Director, Joint Director, Deputy Director and District Audit Officer/Assistant Director on the first day of the year of recruitment.

4. In the said rules, for existing rule-6 set out in Column-1 below, the rule as set out Substitution of Rule 6 in Column-2 shall be substituted namely: -
