In exercise of the powers under section 7 of the Uttar Pradesh fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2004 (U.P. Act no. 5 of 2004) read with section 21 of the Uttar Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1904 (U.P. Act no. 1 of 1904), the Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Rules, 2006.
THE UTTAR PRADESH FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT (SECOND AMENDMENT) RULES, 2025
Short title and
1. (1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Commencement Budget Management (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Rules, Insertion of new rule 3A
2006 after the existing rule 3, the following new rule shall be inserted, namely :–
3A. The total amount of guarantees that may be given by the State Government
"Ceiling on
to the Public Sector undertakings, Corporations, Companies government or Co-operative Bodies or any other entity under its administrative guarantees Section 4 (3) (e) and financial control in a financial year shall not exceed fifteen percent of actual receipts from the State's own tax revenue in the second preceding financial year."
