Meerut Shamli Power Transmission Limited having its registered office at 2nd Floor, Niryat Bhawan, Rao Tularam Marg, Vasant Vihar, Opposite Army Hospital & Referral, New Delhi-110 057 has applied to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to confer upon it all the powers under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the placing of electric lines or electrical plant for the transmission of electricity which telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained, by the Government or to be so established or maintained and will undertake the survey, construction, installation, inspection, erection and other works to be followed by commissioning, operation, maintenance and other works for the following transmission scheme within the state of Uttar Pradesh.

NOW, THEREFORE, after careful consideration, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Department of
Energy, under Section 164 of Electricity Act, 2003 confers all the power to Applicant for laying above
transmission lines, which telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to
the placing of Telegraph Lines and posts for the purposes of a telegraph established or maintained by 4 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 22 ebZ] 2025 Government or to be established or maintained subject to following terms and conditions for installing the above mentioned intra state transmission line for transmission of electricity, namely :-
1. The approval is granted for 25 Years.
2. The Applicant shall have to seek the Consent of the concerned authorities i.e. the local bodies, Railways, National Highway, State Highways etc. before erection of proposed lines.
3. The applicant shall to follow regulations/codes of the appropriate commission regarding Transmission, O&M, open access, etc. framed under Electricity Act, 2003.
4. The Applicant has been entrusted with the responsibility for construction of above said Lines and Substations.
5. The Applicant shall operate the lines and substations after approval of Chief Electrical Inspector of Uttar Pradesh.
6. The approval is subject to compliance by the applicant to the requirement of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made there-under.
