NOTIFICATION
IN compliance of the directions given in judgment and order dated 12.04.2018 passed by
Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.14697 of 2015 State of Gujarat and Others Vs. Utility
Users Welfare Association and Others with eligibility conditions as follows, applications are
invited for the nomination of the Member of the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission
which will fall vacant from June24, 2024 due to the retirement of Sri Vinod Kumar Srivastava.
It is noted that a prior appointment for the above post was made by Notification
No.73/XXIV-U.N.N.Pr.-2025dated 24-02-2025. However, the appointed individual did not
join.Consequently, the joining order was cancelled by Notification No. 88/XXIV-U.N.N.Pr.-2025
dated 13-05-2025. Thereforethe post remains vacant fromJune 24, 2024.
Any person who is, or has been holding a judicial office or is a person possessing
professional qualification with substantial experience in the practice of law, who has the requisite
qualifications to have been appointed as a judge of the High Court or a District Judge, may submit
online application through https://uperc-recruitment.uppcl.org. Only such online application shall
be taken into consideration which are submitted within thirty days from the date of publication of
this notification in the Gazette.
