IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 2258/LXXXI-4–2025, dated December 3, 2025:

The following draft notification which the Governor proposes to issue in exercise of the powers under rule 7 of the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017, is hereby published for the information of the general public and with a view of inviting objections in respect thereof as required under sub-rule (3) of rule 7 of the said rules;

Objections, if any, with respect to the proposed notification shall be sent in writing addressed to the Pramukh Sachiv, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Section 4, Uttar Pradesh Shasan, Bapu Bhawan, Lucknow;

Only such objections shall be taken into consideration as are received within 60 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

DRAFT NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS there exists a water body known as Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland measuring an area of 1.6020 hectares situated in Tehsil Haidergarh, District Barabanki, detailed description whereof is given in the Schedules below, which is considered to be critically significant for its ecosystem services and biodiversity values for the local communities and society at large;

AND, WHEREAS, the aforesaid water body is a part of our cultural heritage; provides a wide range of ecosystem services such as water storage, water purification, flood mitigation, erosion control, aquifer recharge, micro climate regulation, aesthetic enhancement of landscapes; and is important for environmental conservation, enrichment and development of adequate flora and fauna, ecology, landscape and humanitarian values;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-rule (3) of rule 7 of the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017, the Governor is pleased to declare the area of Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland as wetland which will be known as Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland, District Barabanki.

The boundary and description of the area included under the Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland is mentioned in Schedule-I of this notification.

Details of the zone of influence of the Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland are mentioned in Schedule-II of this notification.

Description of prohibited and regulated activities in Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland and its zone of influence are mentioned in Schedule-III of this notification.

Description of permitted activities in Sadullapur (Lambua Talab) Wetland and its zone of influence are mentioned in Schedule-IV of this notification.
