IN exercise of the powers under Section 64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (Act no. 6 of 1974) read with Section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897), the Governor, after consultation with the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh (Consent for Discharge of Sewage and Trade Effluents) Rules, 1981, namely:-

THE UTTAR PRADESH WATER (CONSENT FOR DISCHARGE OF SEWAGE AND TRADE EFFLUENTS) (THIRD AMENDMENT) RULES, 2025

1.(1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Water (Consent for Discharge of Short title and commencement

Sewage and Trade Effluents) (Third Amendment) Rules, 2025.

(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of publication in the Gazette.

2. In the said rules for the existing Schedule-1 set out in Column-I below, the Amendment of Schedule-1

B: Local Bodies (B) Local Bodies
Sl. no. Local Body Amount (in Lakh Rs.) Annual Fees For Local Bodies And Infrastructure Projects (Residential And Other) shall be as below:- (a) In respect of infrastructure projects covered under notification no. SO 1533(A) of the Government of India, Capital investment for the purpose of determining annual fee for setting up, shall be based on the capital investment during the setting up phase as on 14th September, 2006, as amended from time to time. This includes residential (standalone apartments/colleges) layouts, integrated projects, commercial complexes, office complexes, educational institutions, townships and local bodies water supply and sewerage boards. Annual fee for setting up shall be as per the formula adopted for industrial units, as given in item A and B above.
