IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Viniyog (2025-2026 ka Anupurak) Adhiniyam, 2025(Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 1 of 2026) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on January 2, 2026. The Vitt (Aay-Vyayak) Anubhag-2 is administratively concerned with the said Adhiniyam.

AN

ACT

to provide for authorising payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State to the services for the year ending on thirty-first day of March, 2026.

IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Seventy-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:–

Short title

1. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Appropriation

(Supplementary 2025-2026) Act, 2025.

Issue of

2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh there may

Rs.24496,97,72,000 be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in Column-3 of the Schedule

out of the

amounting in the aggregate to the sums of Rs 24496,97,72,000 (Rs. twenty four Consolidated Fund

of the State of thousand four hundred ninety six crore ninety seven lac seventy two thousand only)

Uttar Pradesh for the towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the

Year 2025-2026 year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2026 in respect of the services and

purposes specified in Column-2 of the Schedule.

Appropriation

3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated

Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and

purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day

of March, 2026.

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS

Under Article 205 read with Article204 of the Constitution, an Appropriation Bill has to be introduced in the State Legislature after demands for Supplementary Grants have been voted by the Legislative Assembly.

This Bill provides for the appropriation out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh of all moneys required to meet the Supplementary Grants made by the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and the Supplementary Expenditure charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State in respect of the financial year 2025-2026.

The Uttar Pradesh Appropriation (Supplementary 2025-2026) Bill, 2025 is introduced accordingly.
