IN exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act no. 46 of 2023), the Governor hereby directs that the provisions of sub-section (2) of the said Section shall apply to the following class or category of the members of the Forces charged with the maintenance of public order, wherever they may be serving:–

(a) Police personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Police ;

(b) Members of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (P.A.C.), Uttar Pradesh.

This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
